The International MicroNanoConference 2016 last December turned out to be a great succes!
Thanks to the program, the workshops, the exhibition, the side events, the location and, not the least, the enthusiasm of all the delegates, there was a continuous ‘wow factor’ at the former stock exchange building – The Beurs van Berlage – in the city centre of Amsterdam.

Fabulous keynote speakers, great parallel sessions and an entrepreneurship session with twenty start-up pitches and a great winner.  The co-location with the sensor conference “The Sense of Contact” showed to be succesfull. Also the hands-on workshops were very attractive!
Two days with more than 30 booths in the exhibition area for meeting, greeting, learning, discovering opportunities for business and research. The conference dinner plus a visit to the Banksy exhibition in the gallery of the Beurs van Berlage. What more is there to dream of?

Over 500 participants, many with an international background, that’s a great number, but one should say many more people deserve to enjoy. The words of Professor Sabeth Verpoorte, chairman of the programme committee: “I completely ran out of my business cards, so I met far more interesting new people than I hoped for”.
